If you want an amp to jam with some buds with, go with a different amp all together (SWR, Carvin, Ampeg, Crate). If you just want a small practice amp for your room, go smaller.this is too bulky for just practing. I play funk and when I slap and pop, I wanna get that meaty punch that can drive the rythmn section. I've turned the tone up all the way on my Warwick and this amp still blows. The cab outlet lets you add some extra volume when you're jamming with your band. You can turn up the gain and the volume up all the way and it still performs nicely with zero hum. It has 4 graphic EQ which gives you good control over your tone. This amp is very durable and has a nice metal grill, but looks aren't important. Made for the musician who likes to play actual shows, but doesn't to throw down thousands on a Marshall stack. each) but not impossible to carry by hand. They stack well, and I don't fear that one will break under the weight of the other. If that is the case with you, my guess is you don't have the treble up enough on your bass, or your blend is too high. ![]() Contrary to what you might have heard, it does not indeed have "zero punch". While the 112 is lacking in the punch category, it's not nearly as bad as most people say. The two combine is a little less powerful that a 1x18. I use own two Basic 112s that I stack to compose my rig (send a patch cord from the 'send' port of one amp the input of the other), so it's plenty loud without being as big, cumbersome or expensive as a cabinet. I don't know why this amp gets such flak from everyone who uses it. Purchased from a music store at the local mall in my home town.
